Tommy Flowers, our Innovation Champion who built and designed Colossus the first programmable electronic computer. Not many now remember the time when ticker tape was the means for deploying the code and when computers sounded like mechanical engines.
His engineering knowledge added the magic to the mix that shortened WWII by two years and saved millions of lives.
